Private 1:1 English coaching · starting now
Stop freezing. Start speaking the English you already know. Thirty minutes with me, once a week, for 12 weeks — actually speaking. Not more grammar. Not more studying.
Five minutes, no payment. The form is how we both find out whether this is a good fit — for you and for me. I read every one myself and reply within 2 days.
Sound familiar?
You read English at work. You follow films without subtitles. You know the grammar — you could probably explain it to somebody else.
Then someone asks you a question out loud, and all of it disappears.
Here's the thing: none of that means your English is bad.
What you've been doing
All of it useful. All of it passive.
What you haven't been doing
This is the part that builds confidence.
English is an active skill, and you've been training it passively. That's the whole problem — and it's the most fixable one I know.
You're not bad at English. You're under-practised at speaking it. Those are completely different things, and only one of them takes 90 days to change.
How the 90 days work
Every week we meet live for 30 focused minutes, one to one, and we speak. That's the mechanism. Everything else exists to support it.
We start exactly where you are — and we take the pressure off. The goal in month one isn't perfect English, it's speaking before you feel ready. We build the habit, find where you freeze, and make it safe to be imperfect out loud.
Now we get specific. Your Monday meeting. That client call. The interview. We rehearse the exact situations you freeze in, again and again, until the words come out before the translation does.
We take the support away. Faster questions, unplanned topics, natural speed. By week 12 you do the same speaking assessment you did in week 1 — and you hear the difference for yourself.
Thirty minutes sounds short. It isn't, when it's undivided and it's every week. Short and consistent beats long and occasional every single time.
What's included
A simple daily page to write — and then say — a few lines in English before your day starts. Two minutes. It's the smallest possible way to make English an active habit instead of a subject you study, and it's yours to keep.
Six hours of my undivided one-to-one attention across the 90 days, plus a full year inside everything I've ever made. That's why I only take three people at a time — and right now, one of those three places is open.

Honest fit
And if you're a beginner — please still fill it out. I'll write back and point you to the right place to start. Nobody gets a silent no from me. 🌱
Who you'd be working with
I've been teaching English for over 25 years. I hold a master's in English language teaching, I live in Spain, and I've spent most of my career with people exactly like you: capable, intelligent adults whose English is far better than their speaking.
I take three private clients at a time. Not to make it feel exclusive — because this only works if I know your week, your job, your voice, and what you were trying to say last Tuesday when the words wouldn't come.
Two things I've believed for 25 years, in this order:
From people I've coached
"Before working with Tricia, I prepared every sentence before our international meetings. If someone asked an unexpected question, I froze. I knew my work, but I worried that people couldn't see that.
What helped most was practising the conversations I actually needed to have: explaining delays, answering questions and disagreeing politely. Tricia helped me keep speaking even when I couldn't find the perfect word.
Now I can give a project update without reading a script. I still pause sometimes, but I don't immediately hand the conversation to someone else. I feel more like myself at work."
"I could present in English if I had time to prepare. The questions afterwards were what frightened me. I would give very short answers, even when I had much more to say.
The turning point was practising unexpected questions with Tricia. I learned to pause, organise my thoughts and explain my ideas without translating every sentence first. Her voice-note feedback gave me something specific to work on between sessions.
Now I feel comfortable staying in the conversation after my presentation. Recently, I explained why I disagreed with a suggestion instead of simply accepting it. That was a big change for me."
"I used email whenever I could because calls in English made me nervous. Before a call, I wrote everything down. Afterwards, I kept thinking about my mistakes.
Having a weekly session helped me stay consistent. But the biggest difference was practising what to do when a conversation didn't follow my notes. We worked on asking for clarification and explaining the same point another way.
Now I can discuss a budget with an overseas colleague without planning every sentence. I still make mistakes, but I can correct myself and continue. A call no longer takes up my whole morning with worry."
"I read research in English every day, but speaking with international colleagues made me feel like a beginner. I often stayed quiet because I was afraid of sounding less experienced than I am.
Tricia built our practice around my job. We worked on explaining my research clearly and answering follow-up questions. Comparing my first and final speaking assessments helped me hear progress I hadn't noticed.
Now I ask questions in meetings and explain my work without apologising for my English first. I'm still learning, but I feel much more comfortable letting people hear what I know."
The investment
That covers 12 live 30-minute sessions, personal voice-note feedback, your personalised assignments, two speaking assessments, your written 90-day plan, the Morning Journal, all of my PDFs and guides, and any course of mine you want for a full year.
If the three payments are what make it possible, choose that option on the form. It's a normal thing to ask and it changes nothing about how I read your answers.
A quick note on money, because I'd rather be direct: this isn't the cheapest way to practise English, and it isn't meant to be. It's the fastest way I know to turn English you already have into English you can actually use — with one person paying attention to only you.
Before you fill it in
Is my English good enough to start?
If you can follow this page, you're ready. This is built for intermediate speakers — people who understand a lot and freeze when it's their turn. You don't need to be "good enough" first. That's the thing we're building.
Is 30 minutes a week really enough?
For speaking, yes — because it's every week, it's only you, and none of it is wasted on explaining. Thirty focused minutes where you do most of the talking does more than a two-hour class where you speak for six. The rest of the training happens in the work I send you.
What happens between our sessions?
I send you your speaking work for the week — clear and specific, built around your job and your goal — plus a voice note on how the last session went. Whether you do it is up to you. I'm honest about that: I'm your coach, not your parent. The people who get the biggest change are the ones who do the small thing daily.
What if I freeze on our calls too?
You probably will, in week one. That's completely expected, and honestly it's useful — I get to see exactly where it happens. My whole job is making the room safe enough that it stops happening. No corrections shouted over you, no pressure to perform.
I've tried apps and courses before and nothing worked.
Because most of them train you to understand English, not to produce it. You can finish a whole app without ever saying a sentence out loud to a human. That's the gap this fills — and it's why the entire programme is built around speaking, not lessons.
I'm busy. How much time does it really take?
Thirty minutes a week with me, plus about 15 minutes a day on your assignments and two minutes on the Morning Journal. That's it. The plan is built around your actual week, not an ideal one — so tell me honestly what you have on the form.
What if I have to miss a week?
Life happens. Tell me in advance and we move the session. The 90 days are yours.
Will we do grammar?
Only when it's blocking you in the moment, and always through speaking. You mostly don't have a grammar problem — you have a "can't reach it fast enough" problem. We train the reaching.
Which courses do I get, and for how long?
Any of them, for a full year. I'll point you to the ones that fit your goal — usually Think → Speak, UNFREEZE and 7 Days Out Loud to begin with — but the whole library is open to you for twelve months, along with every PDF and guide I've made. Every lesson stands on its own, so you can start wherever you like.
When do we start?
Now. There's no waiting for a group or a cohort — this is one place, open today. Once we've spoken and it feels right for both of us, we book your first session and your 90 days begin that week.
What actually happens after I fill out the form?
I read every answer myself and email you within two days. If it looks like a good fit, I'll send a link to book a call so we can talk it through properly. If it isn't the right fit right now, I'll tell you that too, and point you somewhere better. Nobody gets a silent no from me.
Does filling out the form commit me to anything?
Not at all. No payment, no obligation. It's a conversation first — and it has to be a good fit for both sides, not just yours.
Ninety days from now you could still be understanding everything and saying almost nothing — or you could be the person who spoke first in the meeting. It really is just practice, and practice needs a start date. Yours can be this week.
